Mozilla has released Fennec Alpha 3 for Windows Mobile, the latest versin of the company's mobile version of Firefox.
According to a blog post written by company developer Brad Lassey, the new browser alpha features a much shorter startup sequence, faster panning, and support for a wider range of screen resolutions.
Lassey explains that the browser now utilizes a tile cache rendering system, much like Google Maps, which improves interaction with panning and scrolling. For users who are not using the HTC Touch Pro, the developers have added support for more screen resolutions. Using XUL and CSS media query technologies, the company is able to design an interface for more mobile devices that have different screen sizes and pixel densities.
